How do I apply for a scholarship?

How much scholarship can I get?

When and how is scholarship money disbursed?
Scholarship funds are disbursed directly to your university — not to the student. This is done within 3-4 working days of approval and after you've paid your portion of the fees. The amount is credited against your tuition balance.
What if my scholarship is rejected?
If you're not selected for the Double Scholarship but show strong eligibility and financial need, we may offer Foundation Support through our donor network. If you don't receive any support, your £195 Premium plan fee may be refundable per policy.
Can I apply for multiple scholarships?
Yes. You can apply for our Double Scholarship through MFF AND simultaneously apply for university-specific scholarships, government scholarships (Chevening, Commonwealth), and external scholarships. MFF helps you identify and apply for all available options.
Are there conditions to maintain my scholarship?
Yes. Recipients must: 1. Maintain satisfactory academic performance, 2. Attend classes regularly (sufficient attendance), 3. Comply with all university regulations, 4. Avoid academic misconduct or illegal activities. Failure may result in scholarship termination.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major payment methods through Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant): Visa, Mastercard, American Express, debit cards, and digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay). Payments are secure, encrypted, and processed in GBP.
What is your refund policy?
Plan fees are non-refundable once the application process begins. Refunds are issued only if: 1. MFF cannot deliver promised services, 2. Request made within 3-5 days of starting (and application hasn't started), 3. Voucher cannot be redeemed at chosen university. Full refund policy in our Privacy Policies document.
Are there any hidden fees?
No hidden fees. Your plan fee (£0/£75/£195) is the only fee for our service. Additional costs may apply only for: voucher extensions (£195/extension), reopening dismissed cases (£195), or the £200 service connection fee for donor-student matching (Double Scholarship cases only).
Why are prices in GBP (£)?
As a UK-registered foundation, all our services are priced in British Pounds (GBP). Your bank will automatically convert from your local currency at the current exchange rate. There are no foreign transaction fees from our side — only your bank's standard conversion fees may apply.
Can I pay in installments?
Currently we offer one-time payments only for our plan fees. However, plans are deliberately priced affordably (£75 Basic, £195 Premium) so most students can manage. For Double Scholarship recipients, university fees can be paid in installments per university policy.
How do I get a payment receipt?
Automatic receipt is sent to your registered email immediately after payment. You can also download receipts anytime from your MFF portal under "Payment History". For an official invoice for your records or employer, contact payments@myfinancefoundation.com.
Is my payment information secure?
Absolutely. We use Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor (the highest security standard). We do NOT store your full card details on our servers. All transactions are encrypted with industry-standard SSL/TLS. Your financial data is as safe as banking transactions.
Do you provide visa support?
Yes — comprehensive visa support is included in our Premium Plan (£195). This includes: visa application form filling, CAS letter coordination, financial document preparation, interview preparation, and submission guidance. We've helped 800+ students obtain UK student visas.
How much does a UK student visa cost?
Current UK student visa costs: Visa Fee: £490 (from outside UK), IHS (Immigration Health Surcharge): £776 per year of study. Additional costs may include biometric appointment fees and document translation. These are payable directly to UKVI/British government.
What documents are needed for visa?
Key documents: CAS Letter (from university), Passport, Financial proof (28 days bank statement showing tuition + £1,334/month London / £1,023/month elsewhere), English test scores, Tuberculosis test (if applicable), Academic documents.
How long does visa processing take?
UK student visa processing times: Standard: 3 weeks (15 working days); Priority Service: 5 working days (additional fee); Super Priority: Next working day (additional fee). We recommend applying 3 months before your intake.
What if my visa is rejected?
Visa decisions are made by UKVI and not controlled by MFF or your university. If rejected, we can: 1. Help analyse rejection reasons, 2. Assist with reapplication addressing the issues, 3. Connect with immigration lawyers if needed. Note: visa fees paid to UKVI are non-refundable.
Can I bring my family on a student visa?
Recent UK rules (effective 2024): Most students cannot bring dependents. Exceptions: PhD students, government-sponsored courses (12+ months), or postgraduate research courses. Dependents need separate visa applications with additional financial requirements.
How do I create an MFF account?

How do I delete my account?
Email us at support@myfinancefoundation.com with subject "Account Deletion Request". We'll verify your identity and process the deletion within 7 days. Note: deletion is permanent and any active applications will be cancelled. Refunds only per refund policy.

Is airport pickup arranged?
Yes — airport pickup coordination is included in our Premium Plan. We connect you with reliable airport transfer services or arrange university pickup if available. Costs vary by location (£40-£120 typically). You can also book Uber/taxi directly.
How do I open a UK bank account?
After arrival, you can open a student account with: HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds, NatWest, Santander. Required: passport, BRP, student ID, proof of address (university letter). Most banks offer free student accounts. We provide a complete guide in Premium plan.
How do I get a UK mobile number?
Easy options: Pay-as-you-go SIM from GiffGaff, Lebara, or Lyca (£10/month, no contract) — recommended initially. After 6 months, switch to contract SIMs from EE, O2, Vodafone for better deals and home broadband bundles.
How do I register for NHS?
Register with a local GP (General Practitioner) within 1-2 weeks of arrival. Find nearest GP at nhs.uk. You'll need: passport, BRP, proof of address. Your IHS payment covers all NHS services (free GP visits, hospital care, prescriptions are £9.90 each in England).
